November 6, 2017 – Happy Monday Everyone! I know that the majority of my recent posts have chronicled my love of fall weather and my excitement for its true arrival. Well, I think that time has finally come! According to the Weather Channel, things are about to majorly start cooling down and I am over the moon. It is now finally time to bust out the oversized sweaters, flannel shirts, puffer vests, boots, scarves, hats, and all my favorite things. This is the season of overly happy Emily Jane and I CANNOT WAIT!
This weekend we had a tease of cold weather and I thought it was the perfect time to put together one of my staple fall outfits. This outfit is cute, comfy, warm, effortless, and most of all stylish. I mean who doesn’t love oversized shirts but in an acceptable form to wear in public? And this J. Crew Factory Men’s Flannel is just that. I apologize for readers who were hoping for some store variety, but I am realizing more and more that 90% of my wardrobe is from J. Crew Factory. But what are you going to do when you find a store that the majority of the clothing fits you perfectly, of course, you’re going to constantly shop there.
Let’s talk about the clothes now! Like I said in the previous paragraph, the flannel I’m wearing is the Men’s Slim Plaid Flannel Shirt, in indigo white, from J. Crew Factory. In the winter, I constantly find myself pairing my various flannel shirts with puffer vests and leggings. However, this year I wanted to experiment with my flannels to see what else I can pair them with and I’ve found that they are extremely versatile. This particular flannel looks absolutely adorable with my navy J. Crew Factory sidewalk skirt and brown boots, and it obviously looks great with jeans as well. The J. Crew Flannel Shirts are so soft and deceivingly warm for how lightweight they feel. This Flannel is a must have for everyone’s winter collection. Under the flannel, I wore a simple featherweight slub cotton v neck t-shirt in navy from J. Crew Factory and it is the perfect layering piece. Just like the flannel, it is so soft and a perfect layering piece for the cold months approaching. I’m absolutely crazy about all things burgundy and puffer vests. When I first saw this Dark Wine Quilted Puffer Vest at J. Crew Factory, I knew I had to have it. Unfortunately, it sold out before I could buy it for myself. BUT, about a month ago all the quilted puffer vests were available again and I wasn’t going to let it slip through my fingers again. You’ve heard enough about my favorite jeans by now. But I’m hoping that y’all have realized by now just how much I love the J. Crew Factory Jeans based on how much I wear them and how often I blog about them. They are truly the best pair of jeans I have ever gotten my hands on. After wearing J. Crew Factory Jeans, I’m never going back to wearing anything else (that is how much I love them). Because Fall is finally showing its face, it was time to bust out the J. Crew Factory Camp Socks and the LL Bean “Bean” Boots. These two items are AMAZING (especially paired together). I love everything about the camp socks and my Bean Boots. To anyone who is on the fence about buying Bean Boots, BUY THEM! I bought mine two years ago and I have never looked back. I purchased them right before I studied abroad and these boots were my best friend the entire trip. They are comfy, warm, durable, and they go with everything. Everyone needs a pair of Bean Boots in my opinion, so what are you waiting for? And the last item for today’s outfit, this adorable fluff ball Calvin Klein hat that I purchased from TJ Maxx (SCORE!), I wish I could provide y’all with the link to buy this hat but TJ Maxx makes that extremely difficult. However, the fluff ball hats (no clue what the call them) are very in this year and they are absolutely every where!
Until Next Time,
Emily Jane
