November 19, 2017 – After two months of working at J. Crew Factory, I’ve decided that working there is extremely dangerous because your ENTIRE paycheck will go back to the company. That might just be me, but I’m pretty sure I cannot be the only one with this problem. Today’s post features two items that were absolute steals. Even though I’m annoyed that I’ve spent so much money recently at J. Crew Factory, I have bought some absolutely amazing pieces that I can’t wait to share with y’all soon. New clothes make me so happy! And, in defense of all my recent spending, it’s hard to pass up items when J. Crew Factory is having an amazing sale. [almost EVERYTHING is 50% off, so go shop – https://factory.jcrew.com/?bmUID=l.cWm1Z]
Today, I wore two of my newest purchases combined with some of my absolute favorite items in my closet. [Hint: My boots, skirt, and earrings should look familiar because they are a few of my closet essentials] In previous blog posts, I’ve introduced some of my favorite colors, patterns, stores, etc. Today’s outfit featured a few of my favorite things: Pearls, Navy, and Stripes.
While unpacking shipment at work this week I came across the necklace I wore today. If I’m being totally honest, my first impression of the necklace was not a good one. It reminded me of Christmas ornaments (no clue why) and I struggled to gauge how I truly felt about the necklace. As I continued unpacking more and more of these pearl necklaces, I gradually fell in LOVE with and I decided to buy it (treat yourself, right?) to match my Kate Spade Pearl Earrings, that I purchased last year around this time. Since then, I’ve been looking for a pearl necklace to pair the earrings with. No matter how hard I looked, I could not find a pearl necklace with large enough pearls to at least compliment my earrings: UNTIL NOW. The J. Crew Factory Pearl Accent Necklace was the necklace I have been searching for. For the people out there who love pearls (especially big pearls) just as much as I do, this necklace is a must have – and if you need more convincing, it’s 50% off right now [link at the bottom of my post].
Some of you may have noticed that the shirt I wore today is very similar (if not identical – minus the color) to the shirt that I wore and blogged about in my second post, well that’s because it is the exact same shirt but in navy [more specifically “oat navy spring”]. And if you’ve been putting the dots together two more of my favorite things are stripes and the color navy. This shirt has both of those and it was another thing that I’ve been looking for for a while. Years ago, I bought a navy and white striped shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch and I have been searching for a replacement for what feels like FOREVER because that shirt has seen it’s day. When I purchased this shirt in the red stripe, I knew I eventually needed to purchase the navy version but I was going to wait until the perfect sale came along. And once again, with the 50% off at J. Crew Factory, I decided to go for it and purchase the “Oat Navy Spring” version of the Long-sleeve striped boatneck T-shirt because treat yourself, right? Again, if you love navy and stripes just as much as I do, BUY THIS SHIRT – I promise you will not regret it.
I’m sure this skirt, my boots, and earrings look familiar because they are a few of my go-to pieces. They were also featured in my first blog post so I will save y’all from hearing me go on and on about how much I love these pieces again. BUT, in my mind, everyone needs their staple pair of pearl studs, brown boots, and a navy skirt (with pockets).
Until Next Time,
Emily Jane
