November 21, 2017 – Morning Y’all! Who else is loving this shortened week culminating with a long weekend full of family time? Because I sure am. I am counting down the days until Thursday. Does anyone else have any family traditions for Thanksgiving weekend? My family watches the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the morning and spends the day helping cook and then setting up all our Christmas decorations when we spend Thanksgiving at home, which we are this year. I am so incredibly excited if y’all couldn’t tell…only 2 more days! Anyways, let’s talk about another thing that I’m excited about: YESTERDAY’S OUTFIT.
Yesterday was yet another day full of outfit experimentation per usual. And in my eyes, the result was so cute, casual, and full of unique little details. My favorite of which being my earrings. Surprise Surprise, these earrings are from J. Crew Factory. A customer returned them last week while I was working and, like normal, I knew I had to have them. So as the story usually goes, I bought the earrings and I regret nothing. They are so fun and something I can wear year round, and they are definitely PERFECT for any holiday parties. The Beaded Oval Dangle Statement Earrings from J. Crew Factory (is anyone shocked?) is a wonderful addition to any jewelry lovers collection [link at bottom of post].
The piece that I centered my outfit around was my grey sweater. I bought this sweater from J. Crew [regular J. Crew] about a month ago. I loved that it was oversized, yet the shirt cuffs make it versatile. I can see myself pairing it with a pencil skirt or slacks for a more professional look and (as seen above) the sweater looks GREAT with jeans for a more casual look. What’s even better about this sweater is it is on sale at J. Crew [link at bottom of post]. The V-neck sweater with shirt cuffs it so soft and I totally recommend it to anyone who loves versatile pieces. I paired the sweater with my black quilted puffer vest from J. Crew Factory [link at bottom of post] because it was a little chilly today. I love puffer vests and in my mind, you can’t have too many of them.
I know in previous posts all I’ve done is rave about how AMAZING J. Crew Factory jeans are and I still believe that 100% but recently, I fell back in love with Abercrombie & Fitch skinny jeans. Don’t get me wrong, I love my J. Crew Factory jeans. However, those jeans are more of a professional looking jean and not a true “skinny” jean. I saw the jeans I wore yesterday and a part of me instantly fell in love with them (yes, yes I know I instantly fall in love with a lot of things…I guess you could say I have a passion for fashion). I tried the jeans on and that was it, they were very quickly added to my closet. Since they are a true skinny jean, they are the perfect jean to wear with boots and definitely the perfect jeans to wear with booties [link to similar booties at bottom of post]. I liked that the jeans fell just above the ankle. I think it’s a little cheeky and sassy. I always struggle to find jeans that are long enough (if you haven’t been able to tell by now, I have legs for days) so I’m used to having jeans that brush my ankle or just above, these jeans were no exception. HOWEVER, {blonde moment alert} as I was figuring out the exact name of these jeans I realized that they are actually SHORTS…oops! But like I just said, I really like where they fall on my leg so I have no complaints. After making my discovery that my jeans are actually shorts, I found the name for y’all and they are the Women’s Low-Rise Super Skinny Jeans Harper in the Medium Wash [link at bottom of post].
Stay tuned for the next fashion experiment coming very soon.
Until Next Time,
Emily Jane
