December 3, 2017– Since I was a little girl, pink has always been my absolute favorite color. I was the typical girly girl growing up in bows, dresses, and of course PINK. As I grew up, my love for pink didn’t fade but my frequency of wearing it did. I struggled to find shades of pink that looked flattering against my skin tone. My biggest struggle was pink always washed me out. I found that if darker shades of pink against my skin ton looked great and once again I began wearing lots of pink again.
Friday’s outfit was a prime example of my reignited love for wearing pink. This outfit had little pops of pink that made it so girly and fun. I paired one of my favorite pair of pink earrings from J. Crew Factory [link at bottom of post] with the dark peony Caryn cardigan from J. Crew Factory [link at bottom of post]. I recently purchased about five Caryn cardigans because they are so comfortable and perfect for work. I have a lot of sleeveless business dresses and I wanted to have options other than constantly pairing them with blazers, the Caryn cardigan from J. Crew Factory is perfect for that. Also, the dark peony Caryn cardigan matches perfectly with the bright fuschia earrings that I’m wearing.
My two statement pink pieces were perfect for dressing up my jeans and black top. I wore the Black floral lace peplum tank top from J. Crew Factory [link at bottom of post] and the lace detail was so pretty. I’m not usually a girl who likes/looks good in peplum tops, they always hit me in all the wrong places and do nothing for my figure. However, this peplum top was an exception. Once again, I saw this shirt while unpacking shipment at work and, of course, I had to have it. It’s the perfect top for work, a casual outfit, or a night out.
I’ll save you guys from reading about these jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch [link at bottom of post] and my Zoe suede d’Orsay flats in black from J. Crew Factory [link at bottom of post] again. You can read all about these AMAZING jeans in my {Not} Feeling Grey . . . but wearing it blog. And, you can read all about my FAVORITE black flats in my Pop of Color blog.
Until Next Time,
Emily Jane
