February 25, 2018 – Man, oh Man! It sure has been a while since I last blogged. So I guess that means that my goal of blogging twice a month isn’t going very well. I cannot believe that February is almost over, 2018 is flying by and I am slacking on my blogging goals. Here’s to hoping that I’m better about it in March.
My February has been going non-stop and I completely lost track of time for essentially the entire month. Each week I told myself, don’t worry you’ll definitely have time to blog next week. However, before I knew it we are in the last week of February and I am out of time. Lucky for y’all, I made sure to make time on this dreary Sunday in Virginia to share my rainy day outfit. It may be dreary outside but I’m not letting that dull down my outfit.
This BRIGHT pink Kate Spade purse ensures that I stand out on a day surrounded by grey. I absolutely love this purse, however, I struggle to find occasions to wear it to because it is a tad bright for more formal events. This year I’m going to make sure I use it whenever I can because it is pink and something Kate Spade (aka two of my favorite things). And I definitely believe that with the right outfit, this purse is amazing.
Today’s stripped bell-sleeve J. Crew Factory top and my medium wash Abercrombie & Fitch jeans proved to be the exact outfit that this purse needed. I picked up this shirt from J. Crew Factory last week after wanting it since it first came to our store a couple months ago. And I was so happy to break it out today. I have this same shirt in the ivory and I knew I needed it in the navy and white stripes because what girl doesn’t need more stripes. I love that the shirt has more of a relaxed fit in the body and it a little tighter through the arms (until the sleeve becomes the bell-shape that is very in right now). What makes this shirt even better is that it is on sale right now, so if you love it as much as I do go treat yourself to some cuteness [Striped Bell-Sleeve T-shirt].
Y’all are no stranger to these jeans by now because I wear them all the time. So you shouldn’t be shocked to find out that these jeans are Abercrombie & Fitch’s Womens Low-Rise Super Skinny Jeans. These jeans are absolutely incredible and I did not think that they could get any better, BUT they just did because they are also on sale. If I had more money (aka I spent all my money at J. Crew Factory), I would totally buy myself another pair because they are so cheap right now (under $40) but I’ll just have to wait to buy them later on.
Now on to my FAVORITE spring, summer, and fall shoe. You can never go wrong with a pair of classic white converse. They go with just about anything and I wear them with just about anything. For years if I couldn’t figure out what shoes to wear with an outfit, you could find me in white converse because no matter the outfit they look good. You can find me wearing my converse with jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, running shorts, leggings, etc. When I say I love them, I mean it y’all. So be prepared to see them often! You can also find them just about anywhere, but I’ve linked them from DSW.
Last but not least, my Kate Spade New York Metro Watch. Like my converse, I wear this watch with just about anything. I’ve had the watch for almost 2 years and Kate Spade keeps restocking it because it’s just that popular and just that cute. If you’re a girl on a budget, like me, it is a little pricey but I promise you it is worth it. I cannot tell you how many times people have complimented my watch. I was a little worried when I splurged on this watch because I wanted a watch that went with most of my outfits and because of the saddle color band I wasn’t sure how it would look with blacks and greys. However, my worries were quickly swept away because this watch is the perfect neutral to go with everything.
Hopefully, y’all don’t go another month without hearing from here. I’m really going to try and not tell myself “you can do it next week” in March because I really do love sharing my passion with y’all. I’m just guilty of some poor time management in the blogging area.
Until Next Time,
Emily Jane
