Spring Time Florals

March 22, 2018 – I told y’all that I would be back soon with another blog post.  So here I am sharing another wonderful outfit.  This time the outfit is perfect for a casual Friday or business casual environment, or honestly any occasion because the shirt (and entire outfit) is so darn cute.

I love a good floral print and the shirt I wore today was too cute to pass up.  I got the Printed bell-sleeve top from J. Crew Factory in the print water floral about a week ago and I could not wait to break it out.  When I saw snow on the forecast, the wheels in my head started turning and I started to imagine what the shirt would look like with snow in the backdrop.  I kept my fingers crossed that the predicted snow would actually come because I wanted to see my vision come to fruition and I also wanted to finally have a good snow, even though today is technically the third day of spring.  I may be a little biased but I love the way this top looks with a winter backdrop and if it looks this good in winter, I can only imagine how cute it will look when everything is blooming.  This top does run a little on the larger side, however, that makes it perfect everything.  I have paired this top with jeans (J. Crew Factory’s Classic Blue Wash High-Rise Skinny Jeans, to be exact) and pencil skirts.  The peplum bottom is low enough on the shirt that it can easily be tucked into pencil skirts for a more professional work look.  What makes this look even more perfect for a business casual environment is the shoes that I wore to pull everything together.  I wore my Black Zoe Suede d’Orsay Flats from J. Crew Factory.  I could rave about these shoes all day, I absolutely adore them.  I wear them nonstop and I also have them in four different colors.  These flats are a tad uncomfortable to break in but honestly what pair of cute shoes aren’t.  I love the pointed toe and the open middle of the shoe and I feel so sassy when I wear them.  The necklace that I wore has been in my jewelry collection for a year and a half and it still sparkles just as much as it did when I first bought it.  The necklace is called the Layered Circle Necklace and it is my absolute favorite because it’s so sparkly and the earrings I’m wearing match the necklace perfectly.  Y’all know I love all things J. Crew Factory, but it’s because their clothes, accessories, and shoes are such great quality and last FOREVER.

The last part of my outfit (that sadly can’t be purchased until winter coats start coming out again later this year) is my black J. Crew Factory City Coat.  The City Coat provides the perfect amount of warmth for the winter months in Northern Virginia.  It is the perfect length to keep all the important parts of your body warm.  And it gives you enough room to layer pieces underneath.  I have the J. Crew Factory City Coat in two colors (saddle and black), so that is a testament to how much I adore this coat.

I also got nailed in the head with a snowball when I was trying to be cute, so I hope you enjoy my reaction to that!

Be back soon y’all!  And I hope you enjoyed today’s outfit.

Until Next Time,

Emily Jane
