April 16, 2018 – Can y’all believe that we’re already starting another week in April? Like I talked about in my blog posts last week, I am still so stunned at how quickly April (and 2018 in general) is flying by. I feel like before we all know it, it’s going to be Christmas and on to 2019. Another thing that I mentioned in last weeks blog posts was the heat wave that was hitting the east coast this weekend. And, boy was it nice to have some warm weather for a change. As y’all can see in some of these pictures, I might have enjoyed the sun a little too much and gotten a little sunburned. However, it was so worth it because the weather was AMAZING!
When I wasn’t sitting outside enjoying the heat, I spent my time working. And that means I got to get dressed up in some fun spring items. In the case of this blog, the spring items were white high-rise jeans (from J. Crew Factory), Gold Sparkle Jack Rogers, and an adorable striped off the shoulder top from H&M.
This top is a new item that has found a home in my closet. I snagged it online last week for only $8! Can y’all believe that something so cute was so cheap? Trust me, I was as shocked as some of y’all are right now. In my opinion, this top is so worth the $8. The material is very lightweight, it is not form fitting to keep you as cool as possible in the heat, it looks adorable with white jeans or white shorts (or regular denim), and the tie sleeves are an added touch. However, my only complaint is that the top is slightly see-through. It wasn’t too bad but still a tad see-through.

I told y’all that in the Spring and Summer months my Gold Sparkle Jack Rogers are my go-to sandal. And this outfit was no exception. I needed something that was springy enough for this outfit, yet comfortable enough to wear to work (where I’m on my feet for at least 4 hours nonstop). To read all about how much I love Jack Rogers and how perfect they are head to my Springtime Pink post.

For this outfit, I decided to stick with pastel colors in my accessories. About a month ago, I found these adorable BaubleBar Pinata earrings at Nordstrom Rack for super cheap (I can’t remember the exact price – but I have worn them so often they were so worth it). Sadly, because I did purchase these earrings about a month ago they are no longer available on the Rack’s website. I have link five pairs of earrings in the above widget. Three are very similar to the ones I’m wearing and two are just more adorable blush earrings.
My current color obsession is any and everything blush. Pink is my favorite color, however, I struggle to actually wear pink because it tends to wash me out (pale people problems). BUT, blush (or any pink, in general) accessories work perfectly for me. Thus, began my blush obsession. I have worn these earrings with black items, patterned items, blue items, white items, etc. If I’m being honest, I believe that blush is becoming a new neutral (and I am totally ok with that). Like my gold sparkle Jack Rogers, get used to seeing these earrings all Spring and Summer long because they are my absolute favorite pair of earrings right now.

Hopefully, we get to see some more warm weather on the east coast soon because I miss it already.
Until Next Time,
Emily Jane
