April 23, 2018 – Happy Monday Y’all! I’ll save y’all from hearing me go on about how shocked I am that yet another week has passed by in April. But, I can’t believe that May is next week. 2018 is truly going by so incredibly quickly. And, I’m not complaining anymore because summer is right around the corner (less than 2 months away). I’m missing the heatwave that we had a few weeks ago on the east coast, but this week has some nice days ahead.
Today is got to enjoy some of the beautiful weather we’re having right now. There was a bit of a breeze today, but I didn’t let that stop me from adding some spring into my step. This outfit was perfect for today’s weather. With the temperature today in the high 60s, with a nice little breeze, I needed an outfit that worked without the cardigan when it was warmer and then with the cardigan when the breeze showed up. Both my cardigan and t-shirt are extremely lightweight and were just what I wanted.
My cardigan is the Sheer Open Cardigan from LOFT in the color pink fizz. I talked about this cardigan a little bit last week, but I wasn’t able to show y’all pictures of it. So here are your pictures, FINALLY! This cardigan is absolutely perfect for transitional weather like we’re having right now. It is the perfect weight for the in-between temperatures. Like I said last week, I’m wearing an extra small in this cardigan. According to LOFT’s “find your true fit” widget, I should be an xx-small in most of their items. However, there is no way that I would be comfortable in an xx-small in this cardigan. I definitely recommend going up one size in this item so that you have room to wear it as a layering piece. I absolutely adore this cardigan and cannot wait to finally wear it all the time.
I am a girl who loves a good t-shirt. But, I can be a little bit picky about my t-shirts. I can’t wear a shirt that is too tight, the fabric has to be soft, and the material has to be lightweight (especially for spring and summer). This t-shirt is all that and more. I wore the Featherweight Slub Cotton T-shirt from J. Crew Factory. I am wearing a small in this shirt when I usually wear an xx-small or x-small in J. Crew Factory t-shirts. This shirt does not run small, however, I chose to size up one to two sizes so that I have the ability to tie the bottom of the shirt during the summer. If you want the ability to tie the shirt for the warmer months, I would recommend going up one or two (if you are in between sizes that I can be) sizes like I did. I paired this cardigan and t-shirt with my favorite pair of classic blue wash high-rise jeans from J. Crew Factory, y’all know I love these jeans so much because I wear them all the time.

SURPRISE SURPRISE! Another simple outfit of mine dressed up with some super fun BaubleBar Earrings. I found these Valencia Shoulder Duster Tassel Earrings for a steal at Nordstrom Rack and I immediately fell in love with them. Needless to say, they were added to my earring collection. Sadly, the black earrings are sold out but I absolutely adore the blush earrings in the same style. Because I love blogging about earrings that are sold out, I linked a bunch of other black statement earrings from BaubleBar in the earring widget above. I recently discovered what BaubleBar earrings were and I am so in love with their earrings. They are so fun and the perfect piece to dress up a casual outfit, like my outfit today. To compliment my black statement earrings, I wore my black Zoe Suede d’Orsay flats from J. Crew Factory. Once again, these shoes are sold out in black. It’s, unfortunately, that time of year when stores begin to phase out flats and closed toed shoes to prepare for open-toed shoes for Spring and Summer. I bought these black flats at the beginning of the fall last year and I wear them all the time. They are such a simple pair of flats that have the ability to dress up a casual outfit or perfectly complement a professional outfit. To say I love them would be an understatement.
